ManCandyMonday – The Author Edition – Edgar Allen Poe

This month – ManCandy The Author Edition. Starting with Poe.

I spent this last weekend at the West Virginia Writers Conference and had a blast, possibly fan-girled a bit. Best part about WVW… nice folks and moonshine. How many conferences have you been to where moonshine was part of the evening entertainment, eh?

Michael Knost won a JUG award for his Just Uncommonly Good work. He writes horror and suspense and in person is hilarious and kind. Check out his work on Amazon here. The man gives good workshop, just sayin’.

It’s been pre-kids since I read horror, but this weekend got me thinking about those stories I loved, starting with Poe. So, this month is author appreciation month for mancandy.

The thing is, Poe isn’t what I’d consider mancandy by today’s standards… so, I chose to use John Cusack, who played Poe in the movie The Raven (which is awesome). Luke Evans plays Detective Fields in the movie, and is bonus mancandy this Monday:)

Who is your favorite “hot” author?
