Tom Hiddleston was great in Crimson Peak. I loved the cast, I loved the costumes, the story though… too many plot holes for me. Clay with “special binding” properties that manages to weep into the basement but is hard to get out of the ground. Or – who builds a ridiculously huge mansion on top of a mine. Seriously? With that much cash you couldn’t have lived closer to town instead? What’s with the aging or non-aging of Thomas and Lucille? The filming was artful but the manuscript was a first draft – for me.
